 Jacó is one of the most popular beaches of Costa Rica is located in the Central Pacific area and just one hour and thirty minutes from San José. Jacó is a very important destination for surfers; a couple of times a year there are international surf tournaments.
Jacó is a small town, but there are a huge variety of services: many restaurants of different specialties, all kind of souvenirs shops, spas, gyms, banks, medical services, real state business, supermarkets, bars and dancing clubs.
In Jacó beach people will find a medium category of lodging, but in the surrounds there are other options which are exclusive and romantic as Hotel Villa Caletas known for its magical ocean views and spectacular sunsets. Villa Caletas is just 15 minutes from Jacó.
There are two other important beaches near Jacó that are developing as Playa Hermosa which is also famous among surfers and Playa Herradura where is located the famous marina of Costa Rica; Los Sueños.
Tourists are able to enjoy activities in Jacó or nearby: Sunbathing, surfing, fishing, dancing, canopy, crocodile tour in Tarcoles River, hiking in Carara National Park, ATV tours, tour to Tortuga Island among other adventures. |
