About
Tango Mar is a 150-acre (60Ha) exclusive private beachfront reserve with ample of added attractions. The blend of fine accommodations with exuberant jungle vegetation, exotic birds and wildlife makes Tango Mar the ideal hideaway for anyone who wants to enjoy refinement in a natural setting.

Rooms
Tango Mar offers different types of lodgings; oceanfront rooms that mainly cater to families or groups, Tropical suites for couples and Tiki suites and Deluxe Beach front rooms for the most demanding.
Amenities
The 43 rooms of Tango Mar offer a good variety of amenities. In addition, the property is equipped with a Golf Course (9 holes), two tennis courts, four swimming pools that will make you stay a true expierence. Also Tango Mar offers a wide variety of tours that enable you to discover the protected Nicoya Peninsula.
Restaurant
Tango Mar offers international gourmet cuisine, Costa Rican specialities are carefully prepared by master chefs. Breakfast and dinner are served at the “Cristobal” Restaurant, overlooking the ocean with a casual yet romantic setting. This nice restaurant is decorated with bamboo and furnished with fine Cristobal wood. Before dinner enjoy a tropical cocktail at our “Tango” Bar, or our new oceanside deck (above). For lunch and refreshments at the beach or poolside, the new Rancho Grill “El Pirata” throughout the day serves drinks, sandwiches, cocktails, salads and light meals of your choice.
Activities
Tango Mar offers a wide-variety of tours that enable you to discover the protected Nicoya Peninsula. Horseback riding along the beach (to Montezuma), boat-tours through the Mangroves or to the nearby Tortuga-island (snorkeling), deep-sea fishing and scuba diving. Cabo Blanco Nature Park and Curu Private Wildlife Refuge are nearby and guided visits can be arranged.
Zip-line through the rainforest canopy, or take a guided horseback riding trip to a variety of locations, including hidden waterfalls.
Guests can pick up bicycles in Puerto Jimenez and cycle along dirt roads, through local villages, experiencing Costa Rican life along the way, and stop for lunch in Puerto Jimenez or at a beachfront restaurant.
A local tour explains organic cacao farming methods in the tropics and offers tasters of scrumptious chocolates.
Go horseback riding in Costa Rica’s cowboy country, or visit local villages crafting traditional pottery in the indigenous Chorotega style.
Take a day trip to Granada, one of the oldest and most colorful colonial cities of Central America in neighboring Nicaragua.
